Official: Hakim Ziyech will go to Chelsea!

Ajax Amsterdam’s Moroccan attacking midfielder will join the English club Chelsea next season, the Dutch squad announced.

For several seasons, lovers of European football have wondered why no major European club had come to the information, or even had shifted into high gear, for the international Moroccan wing of Ajax Amsterdam, Hakim Ziyech.

At one time, we thought that Olympique Lyonnais had been interested in his profile, especially to replace Nabil Fekir, announced leaving for a few seasons, now at Betis.

Finally, the club of Jean-Michel Aulas had not taken action, and the Moroccan had started a new season, punctuated by a semi-final of the Champions League, with the Ajacides. Always staying this season, Ziyech had to start finding the long time but next year, he will no longer play for Eredivisie, the Dutch championship. Ajax has just announced that the 26-year-old will evolve with Chelsea next season.

A transfer of more than € 40 million
“Ajax and Chelsea have reached an agreement for the transfer of Hakim Ziyech. The player will join the Premier League club on July 1, 2020 and end the season in Amsterdam,” the statement said.

For this transfer, the Blues of Frank Lampard spent 40 million euros excluding bonuses, the amount being up to 44 million euros via variables. It is therefore the first recruitment of the London club since its recruitment ban.
