Messi expresses his condolences for the death of Michael Robinson

Leo Messi has also wanted to show his condolences for the death of former soccer player and commentator Michael Robinson, who lost his life after failing to overcome a cancer detected in 2018.

The Argentine player has shared a story on Instagram with an image of the Brit and a small message: “QEPD” (May He Rest In Peace).

Robinson always praised the Barça Striker and assured that “Messi is far above any other footballer that I have seen. He is even better than Maradona. Diego had three magnificent seasons. He made Naples and Argentina a champion, but Leo Messi does every season since his debut. Cristiano Ronaldo is unlucky to live in a stage in which Messi reigns. We are facing something unique.”

Along with Messi’s words, there have also been many signs of affection both for Barcelona and for a large part of football and society.

The president of FC Barcelona, Josep Maria Bartomeu, published a tweet recalling the figure in English: “The world of soccer is left a little more orphaned by your loss. Thank you for sharing with us your vision of soccer and your way of being, sensitivity and intelligence. Rest in peace, Michael Robinson.”
