One man has died and 4 extra have been injured in a taking pictures at an web cafe within the Swedish metropolis of Malmo.
Local media reviews a person reportedly fired an automated weapon at a crowd celebrating Sweden’s 1-Zero victory over South Korea in right now’s World Cup match.
Police gave no motive for the taking pictures, which occurred within the Drottninggatan space, close to the native police station which meant officers had been on the scene instantly.
In an announcement, police mentioned an 18-year-old man died in hospital and his family have been knowledgeable.
The drive mentioned the incident was not terrorism associated and mentioned there is no such thing as a trigger for public alarm.
The victims have been taken to hospital however their situation is unknown.
Eyewitnesses advised the Aftonbladet newspaper that round 15 to 20 photographs had been fired at 6.15pm within the metropolis centre.
A police spokesman mentioned: “There are injured individuals who have been hospitalized with ambulances and a few who’ve been touring with personal people.
“We have sealed off the realm and are conducting interviews and can interview those that are injured if they will or are prepared to talk.
“There are a complete of 5 males who’ve been hospitalized with accidents. The police are engaged on figuring out all of them.”
There are closely armed police on the scene.
One girl, Linda Andersson was sitting close by when the attacked occurred and advised Sydsvenskan newspaper : “We sat within the sq. and heard the taking pictures, but it surely was extra like thunder, a loud noise.”
It is just not recognized if the gun man has been caught.
